4th of July Fun

We had a blast in Aspen, they know how to celebrate America's B-day up there. We hiked at the Grottos... some cool ice caves and waterfalls over Independence Pass. Travis and I did a 5 mile race next to the Rio Grande, Travis got 4th place with a time of ~30 min. Connor had fun with the family and enjoyed jumping over all of the streams in the town and throwing lots of rocks into rivers. He also liked asking everyone for pennies to throw in the fountains. I loved when he exchanged a quarter for 25 pennies in a store, he had such a huge smile on his face :) If only life was that easy.....

Happy 2nd Birthday Connor!

We had fun celebrating Connor's 2nd birthday party this past weekend. It was really, really hot out so it was an indoor/outdoor party. Lots of his friends were there to help us celebrate.

There was a special appearance from Crocodile Rock which the kiddos enjoyed. She played music, sang, and played some fun games including Connor's favorite, the parachute.

Durango and Easter

We had a great weekend in Durango and Ouray with Benjamin and Lynn. What a beautiful part of our state! Those ice climbers are brave.
Travis got some great shots in our backyard of Mr.C, here are two of my favorites.

Class Portrait

Here is Connor's 1st ever "class" picture. Travis said, "don't you think he's the cutest of the bunch?" I responded that I'm sure every parent says the same thing :) His teacher is so great, I really and truly don't understand how she gets 6 toddlers to go to sleep at the same time. She has the patience of a saint!!

Chinese New Year 2010 Year of the Tiger

On of the rec centers in Highlands Ranch was hosting a Chinese New Year celebration, so we decided to try something different and see what it was all about. Connor really enjoyed the show as we were treated with a dragon dance, martial arts, and other variety of dances.

1st Christmas In Our New Home

Connor on his stage with our tree
Helping Uncle Chris open my present, thanks Chris!
Early Christmas with Uncle Corey and Kaylin, they're getting ready for their big road trip to Ohio.

Mommy has been wanting to make finger paint for me. Since it was so nice outside today, she set me up with paper and finger paint at my table. It was going OK until I decided to finger paint my face/head, what a mess! I think that may be the last finger painting session for a while!

I love taking all the ornaments from the bottom of the tree and saying, "Igotit!".....one word.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Our Big Adventure

Rock Heaven

Wow, what a view!

Hmmm, not sure if I like standing in here.

Pike's Market

We just returned from an amazing trip to Seattle and the San Juan Islands. There is such unbelievable beauty up there and I'm so thankful that we were able to soak it all in. Traveling and camping with a 1 yr old was challenging at times, but Connor did great and we survived. I would highly recommend these islands to everyone!
