Bumbo Expressions

Hiking with the Family

This past weekend we drove up to Reynolds Park near Conifer on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.  We hiked all the way to the top of the mountain before taking this lunch break
Connor loves to see what is in front of him

Colorado Runner

It was neat to see my picture and name in the Colorado Runner most recent magazine. The time they have is a little off (2:42:42), but the picture is great.

This picture was taken around the 10 mile mark. The four of us ran together from the start to mile 13 and then we started to break apart. I almost was able to outkick the guy on the far right to the finish line, but he had a lot more energy then I did at the finish.

Road trip to Emily and Peterson's wedding

Connor's first night out of state! We stayed at a Hampton Inn in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Emily's parents hosted a BBQ Friday night. Beautiful evening and great food.
Scottsbluff National Monument
We talked to a few people and asked how long it would take to get to the top of this monument. We heard everywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour. I decided to run to the top, thinking that it would be a good run, and ended up at the top in 12 minutes. Not the big workout I was planning on, but the views were amazing. It was windy and really sunny at the top, so Kerri had Connor covered up for the picture.

New Discoveries

Connor is almost 3 months old already! He's discovering new things like mirrors and how he can suck on his hands. This was a sad week for mommy because she had to go back to work. Luckily, Connor has his loving grandma and 2nd cousin to look after him.

New digs

First time on his new activity gym... too bad he had the hiccups :)

Camera Shy

Connor's doing great! At just about 11 weeks, he's weighing in at 10 lbs 5 oz. and he's 24 inches long! He's in the 20th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height, tall and skinny, just like his dad.

He loves being in his swing and watching the animals bouncing around above him.

He has been smiling a ton lately, however; it is so hard to capture on film. As soon as the big black camera comes out, this is what I get...

Here are some not so great pictures, but you can get an idea of how cute Connor's smiles are :)

Fun in Evergreen

Hiking at Alderfer Three Sisters was fun.. It was still pretty hot, especially for Travis with his "little heater."

Outside of the Evergreen Lake House, in the nice shade. We got lucky and they let us take Connor on a paddleboat.

Connor is holding a cigar sent from Uncle Benjamin's trip to Hawaii. Thanks Ben!

Week's 5 & 6

Kerri's sister MaryAnne flew in from NY for a special visit to come meet her new nephew. She was a great help to us and we really enjoyed her company.

Connor's First Concert in Greenwood Village (Yia Yia's) and possibly his first attempt at smiling :)

Week's 3 and 4

Daddy likes to tease Connor and pretend that his nose is a pacifier :) Connor goes for it for about a minute, then starts to lose it.

Daddy and Connor hanging out by the stream at Bible Park, one of mommy and daddy's favorite places.

Connor prefers lying on his back rather than on his stomach on the beautiful quilt that Grandma Joyce had made. We're slowly working on "tummy time."

Mommy and Connor went to visit Paige, Tennyson and TJay's daughter today. Paige is eight days younger than Connor, but bigger in size. (Connor was 2 weeks early, Paige was a few days late) Watch out Paige, I'm catching up quickly!
